Meet the Team...

Pat Soden, Interim Executive Director

770-819-0662, Ext. 15     patsoden@sweetwatermission.org

Pat retired after 40 years as VP of Finance for a nationwide property management company. She has spent the past five years volunteering at Sweetwater Mission, assisting with all fundraising events. In January of 2020, Pat was asked to assume the role of Business Manager, and then graciously stepped in as Sweetwater Mission's Interim Executive Director in April just as the Covid-19 Crisis hit in full force.  "From the outset, I was very taken with the compassion and respect shown to the clients at Sweetwater Mission, and am honored to help the organization navigate through the tough waters that we all find ourselves in today. God has truly blessed me by guiding me to Sweetwater Mission."

Debbie Ginocchio, Development Director

770-846-0469    debbie@sweetwatermission.org

Debbie came with 18 years of Restaurant Supervision along with 25 years in the Financial Services Business. She initially came to help the clients of Sweetwater Mission with health insurance needs, which then led to helping in other areas. As our Development Director, Debbie is involved in getting support and organizing all of our fundraising events, using her perseverance in getting the word out about Sweetwater Mission. Debbie truly has a heart for serving the needs of others. “I Love everything about Sweetwater Mission and all they do to help people. I thank God for bringing me to Sweetwater and giving me the opportunity to improve peoples’ lives”.

Frank Quatro, Transformation Services Director

770-819-0662, Ext. 11    frank@sweetwatermission.org

Frank brings a decade of experience in the nonprofit world, having served on several Boards including Chairman positions at both Andee’s Army and Fountain of Hope. As our Transformation Services Director, he has successfully leveraged his 40 year corporate career to the benefit of Sweetwater Mission in areas specific to operations as well as our new Transformation Center, providing sustainable job training to many of our traditional at risk clients.

Paula M. Rigsby, Family Services Director

770-819-0662, Ext. 19    paula@sweetwatermission.org

Paula has many years experience working with volunteers in the non-profit field. She has spearheaded a variety of volunteer projects within the community and has a true passion for helping others. A mother of six, she still finds time to volunteer, with her children, in the community and in her church nursery. Paula's favorite scripture is Hebrews 13:2 "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it,"

Tim Johnson, Food Program Manager

770-819-0662, Ext. 12

Tim joined the team after seven years as lieutenant of security at Six Flags Over Georgia. His many skills include general contracting and property maintenance. He is a valuable asset to keeping things running smoothly at Sweetwater Mission and is always eager to help where needed. Tim likes to cook and in his spare time he can be found working at Pirate's Treasure during the Renaissance Festival. "The thing I like most about working at Sweetwater Mission is that I am part of something much bigger. I am proud to be a part of this ministry which does so much to help families right here in the community I live in."

Kay Wimpey, HOPE Program Manager

770-819-0662, Ext. 25    Hope.Transforming.Lives@gmail.com

Kay served as the Program Director/Manager for the HOPE Project in Douglasville for 10 years before joining our staff in June 2012, when we adopted the transformation education program. Kay completely devotes herself to the students in class and the online training program(s). She teaches principles for a successful life in many areas of personal, professional and spiritual development. She has witnessed amazing transformations in the men and women, as the students apply the truths found in the principle centered teachings of the HOPE Program curriculum, they experience change. "Every person has the God-given potential to achieve success in every area of their life. I want to help my students learn to see themselves as God sees them."

Mary Beth Alexander, Clothing Program Manager

770-819-0662, Ext. 19      marybeth@sweetwatermission.org

Mary Beth joined the Sweetwater Mission staff in 2019. As a Cobb County native and a third generation supporter of Sweetwater Mission’s work, she enjoys serving the community in this position. After graduating with a degree in Public and Social Services from Kennesaw State University, she spent 14 years in full-time ministry in Wyoming. She acquired skills and experiences in both secular and ministry positions. She returned to Georgia to be nearer her extended family. Her first ministry has always been her family, and her four young children keep her busy at home. An active member of her congregation, Mary Beth serves as a children’s teacher, nursery volunteer, and worship team vocalist. As a follower of Jesus, she strives to live out the words in James 1:22, “Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
